Time does not literally fly. But it sure does feel like it.

The saying, “time flies when you’re having fun” really does feel real, though.

Have you ever been in school and somehow it’s already finals week? Or have you ever thought how is summer almost over? Or have you ever thought how do I only have one more day in Hawaii? Time flies.

As we are approaching summer, I have done a lot of reflecting. One thing I have learned this past school year (as a first-year in college) is to not take a moment for granted.

Recently, little things like…
  • Sitting on the floor in the hallways of the dorms with my best friends I made less than a year ago.
  • Or going on runs to appreciate nature.
  • Or spontaneously going camping, or to the beach, or to get breakfast burritos.

These are little moments that may not have mattered in the moment, but will mean the world to me as I look back on them.

Think of little moments like this— little moments that make time seem like it is on double speed. Appreciate what you have now. Not later. Don’t be sad because something is coming to an end. Be happy because you got to experience it at all.

Realizing that time is not endless can help you live more in the moment. Which is a lifestyle that will keep you present. Try reflecting on times that you appreciate. And feel your smile grow as you go.

Showing gratitude for your life will positively impact your mind. Overall, if you have this attitude, your mood will improve and you will be happier.

  1. 1. Did you design this website on your own!?!?
    2. Did you edit that video of Maija the runner yourself???
    3. When are you gonna start your merchandise product line?

  2. My Dearest Skylar,
What made you so smart? (It must be your gene pool.)
That was wisdom that takes decades to learn, and more decades to live.
Live your best life…I think you are doing just that.
    I love you,
    Nana
