Can you see the double rainbow? Whenever I think of rainbows, I think of unicorns, happiness, and good luck. But what actually are rainbows? Rainbows are caused by the reflection, refraction, and dispersion of light in water droplets. (Which is why they typically appear when the sun comes out after it rains.) This creates a spectrum of light that appears in the sky in the form of a multi-colored arc. So, next time a storm passes and the sun shines through, look to the sky for a rainbow. And hopefully, our beautiful environment brings a smile to your face.
